    Hello everyone

I'm thinking about buying a laptop as a second system that will be used for the basics (web-surfing, work from the office, listening to music and DVD, light gaming). My budget is limited but I've found what seems to be a good choice.

    Gateway MX8741 notebook (refurb).
    Features:

Intel Pentium Dual-Core Mobile Processor T2130
    1 MB L2 cache | 1.83 GHz | 533 MHz FSB
    17-inch WXGA TFT (1440 × 900)
    1024 MB DDR2 memory
    Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    120-GB 5400-RPM SATA Hard Drive
    8X Multi-Format Dual Layer DVDRW with DVD-RAM
    Integrated 4-in-1 Memory Card Reader
    10/100 Ethernet LAN
    802.11g Wireless LAN
    Windows Vista Home Basic

Is it a good machine ? This will be my first laptop ever and I want it to last at least 4 years. I know it's a refurbished model and I'm not willing to invest too much on this even if I know that some of it's components are not from the latest technology.

As anyone ever encountered problems/issues on this model (too much noise, reliability problems, etc...) ?

    Thanks for the help !
