I have a P-6860 Fx with Windows Vista 64 bit. When i try to install Civilization 4, it tells me to install direct x 9 and when i try to it just says that it cant and shuts down. It wont let me install the game without installing direct x 9.
Does anyone have any suggestions/tips to fix the problem?

try replacing your dx9 file with one from microsoft. you may need to copy the whole game to hard drive.
