is it a bad idea to install games on an external usb harddrive. I've already installed crysis and grid, and they both run great, the load times aren't any longer. But what i'm wondering is if it is in any way unhealthy for the external harddrive?

I can't imagine any ill effects to the HDD, most external drives are just a standard HDD in an enclosure.
