I got alot of emails asking me how to do this last week.

So here are a few pointers.

If your running Windows XP PRO on your 7422GX don't worry about your gateway multifunction key board driver or your touchpad mouse driver.

When you install the drivers for the Microsoft Optical Desktop Pro system, model # 1005,1007,1019. You will be asked to uninstall the Gateway drivers. Click "Yes" and allow them be be removed.

Just let the install disk set up the new wireless optical system. After reboot
you will notice that your multifunction keyboard and touchpad mouse on your notebook still function as they always did...

And you now have a splendid Optical Desktop Pro system to use with your 7422GX notebook. SWEET!![ :p]

I went back and installed the Multi/Touch gateway drives over the previous installed gateway drivers because I could not believe the Keyboard and touchpad could possibly still work...

But they did![ :D] I made one hugh mistake when setting up my wireless desktop... "I put the cells in backwards on the mouse" !!!

Never told my wife about that part!!!![ ;)]hehe

    Good Luck!
