The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Installing wmodem on the P-7805u with Vista 64

    I recently got the new P-7805u like many of you here with the Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. I previously had wmodem installed on an XP without a hitch, but can't get it to install on the Vista64 platform. Have any of you succesfully installed wmodem on the HTC Apache (PPC-6700 or XV6700) yet?

    I tried loading the 64 bit drivers I found on the XDA forum:

    ...but I couldn't get the computer to do the auto install by hooking up the PDA with the USB cable:

    If anyone was successfull, please post some instructions.
