My trusty 6860FX turned on tonight with a dull greyish looking screen.

Is this likely to be the screen inverter that's causing this problem?

If so, can anybody tell me which part number is the correct one for replacement?

If this isn't the inverter any other tips or advice out there?

If I turn off the backlight for the system it looks like that dull greyish tint. Have you tried turning that up?
