After a few hours of my laptop being plugged in to that power brick (the one with green light), i notice the power brick gets VERY VERY hot, and it then makes more like a hissing sound or buzzing sound. I then have to unplug it for it to stop?
Is it normal? or should i get it replaced?

Its common, but that doesn't make it normal. a number of people have called gateway and been able to get replacements having similar issues to yours. Mine definately doesn't get hot when plugged in for a long time, but I don't game on it really, if you aren't loading the machine heavily when its happening there's definately an issue.

mine did, rarely though, and it only did it with the t5450 and never with the X7800

No- my 7811 and 6860 bricks are both completely silent. Hissing is not air leaking inside, it is electricity leaking inside, and the heat is from the bad component - there's resistance building up and that makes heat build up, which makes resistance build up more, etc. Sooner or later, something very bad is going to happen to it and possibly to your laptop to which it is attached.
I'd get it replaced ASAP and keep the computer use to a minimum until the new one arrives. -
mine hisses a bit, if it bothers you look into the targus power brick, I don't have one but reviews are phenominal

When this line of laptops (p-fx) was first released this forum had numerous threads about hissing power bricks. Not sure how many people got them replaced but I never read a report of one causing a problem with the computer, I for one have just ignored it and its never given me a problem.

Last week i called Gateway, they send they will send me a new one free of charge.

Can somebody give me a link to a Targus that is under $60? I can't find a cheap one. I posted the same thing on the thread about 180 Watt bricks, but I haven't got any responses.
Is it normal for my power brick for 7805 to make a hissing sound?
