Is it worth it going from a stock 6860 to this??

The GPU is the exact same, no weaker, no stronger. Yes I would do it because the 6860 is just too big and bulky for my liking, also due to the Centrino 2 platform. The screen can be swapped for, IMO the best resolution for 15.4", WSXGA.

    Thanks for the input

    Anyone else?

Looks like if this bestbuy deal is still going in a couple of months when I visit the states, I might go ahead with the switch.

How far ahead do you have eyes on deals?

Hey no problem, that's what we're here for. As for the deals I can see the fliers a week ahead of time when I'm home, but I'm currently away at school.

Actually the 8800mGTS is still stronger than the 9800m GS but only by maybe 5-10% which is nothing noticeable.... but money issues asside I would go for it... but then again I like the aspect that the 6860 is a lil bigger because of a bigger screen...and the keyboard feels much more natural... so weight the cons/pros

    Edit:
I also forgot to take max resolution into account so the vid cards should provide about the same performance
