I'm just curious really. I'm hoping that screen prices might drop in a year or so to around $100, and I can see how difficult it is to replace the stock one with a WXUGA 1900x1200 screen.

First and last bump, just in case someone who knows... missed it.

its not difficult to replace it at all 6 screws then take an old credit card between the seams on the bezel and run it along the top and sides and it will pop open its all pretty easy if you know how to take stuff apart and hopefully put stuff back together . As for prices going to the 100 dollar range i wouldnt hold my breath on that. They have been using these same displays in laptops for along time and there always in demand which keeps prices steady .

Is there a good how-to on replacing the 6860's LCD screen?
