Is there any way at all!?

PS3 is calling to me. I want it. But I don't wanna drop the cash on a PS3 and a small HD TV (l live in the barracks, space can be an issue).

Is there anyway at all to play it on my FX6860?

WTH are you guys talking about. There is no PS3 emulator, nor is it possible to emulate an 8core PPC CPU. You will ever be able to play a PS3 games on a PC (except if the game is on the pc).

He means to physically connect the PS3 to the laptop and use the monitor as the screen.

Let me get this straight. You have a 6860fx and want to buy a PS3 but would still need a tv to play it on? If that is the case then yes.

Get an expresscard x54 tv tuner card and a PS3. Then you can basically use the fx6860 as a tv and DVR. You would also be able to connect your PS3 through the aux input and play it on the screen.

There are also USB tvtuner solutions (as opposed to expresscard) but you would have to take into account possible lag.

    I've been eyeballing this one:
