is 44 watts on p-7805u ok though?
    75c seems a bit high for x9100, e0 stepping.

no 75 max is fine for the x9100 imo. but it should idle low to mid 40's no more than that

It is the x9100 es, it is the qhbq supposed to be the latest es. extreme processor wants 458.88 for the same processor: x9100

I'm a little surprised that it does show as 3.06ghz instead of 3.0ghz.

So far I'm happy with it.

    you have p-7805u or p-7811fx?
if you have p-7805u, let me know undervolt setting and how much load temperature you get after undervolting. i am getting same processor
    next week.

p-7805u, and I can't get rm clock to work on my computer. I tried to disable driver signing like they said to on the rmclock forum. It still says I'm trying to use an unsigned driver.

I got rmclock to work but it would not lower the vid any, I think it's because it doesn't support .5x.

I think I'm going to sell the x9100 though. I could only prime95 ten or so minutes before temps got up to 84 and then the 6x multiplier would kick in.

I put the p8400 in and it idles at about the same temperature. I'd like to get a t9800 but the seller I bought it from only has converted bga t9800s.

    it's that bad? :(
now i feel kinda unsure of this myself too.
but what about all those upgraded version of p-7811 and p-7805u
they sell on ebay with x9100 equipped? i don't think those sellers
upgraded heatsink or anything but just put x9100 in there.
i don't see anyone having problem with it.. so 84c doesn't look too
bad as long as it doesn't shut down your system or slows down horribly.
it's extreme processor that was built to take heats afterall. =(

There may be a way to raise the throttling or whatever it is called. The main guy on ebay that sells the upgraded 7805u is now putting t9800's in them. I'm sure the x9100 can take the heat, the processor just barely gets to 84 degrees in my system, then it drops to 6x multiplier for less then a second and goes back to 11.5x multiplier.

ok, i've got my x9100 today too. it's ES, E0, true intel pga pin as the seller described. well at least according to
cpu-z and hwmonitor and system bio read it as x9100 ES, E0 but core temp 0.99.4 read it as x9000 ES, E0.
anyway, i can't tell the pin difference but since it looks exact same pin as what extreme processor guy shipped me for T9600 and T9800 so i am pretty sure it's same true intel pga pin. booting temp was about same as t9800
and i am currently running 3dmark 06 and prime95 so i will update in a bit. so far so good. i've got it 4 days after i bought it so i can tell his service is even faster than extreme processor guy. i will be seeing ya in a bit. :D

    Whats your prime95 benchmarks?
    can compare on http://www.mersenne.org/report_benchmarks/

I received my x9100, also from that seller. I haven't seen my acpi spike past 79 yet, cpu high of 70. Testing prime 95 (max heat) for last 30mins. I used mx-2 as my thermal compound.

But my benchmark scores seem very low. Comparing my scores on that site, I rate between a t9400 and t9600. Also I get a windows index of 5.7 for the cpu, I thought I would get a 5.9. Cpu-z shows x9100 running at 3059mhz.
Did I just get a slow cpu? or is something slowing it down?

My windows index for cpu was 5.7 as well. I don't know if I got a hot chip or what, but my cpu temps were above 80 under prime 95.

i undervolted my x9100 and now it runs about 6c cooler than before.
i've run prime95 for about an hour now and max temperature i've got on hwmonitor is 64c and 69c on core temp which is pretty acceptable.
i guess i will stick with this processor and sell t9800 on ebay.

EDIT: i've run into new problem.. i just noticed that x9100 only go up to 2.93ghz if i undervolt it since RM utility doesn't support x.5
so it gets stuck at x11 speed at max so highest speed it can go up to is 2.93ghz. it runs stable but then what's the point of having x9100 over t9800?
i ran 3dmark 06 and i've got exact same score as t9800 cpu score when i undervolted x9100. sux.. maybe i shouldn't undervolt it at all since
p-7805u doesn't let you adjust anything from bio and it seemed to run everything fine even at 75c under full load. honestly, chip was running
at same temperature as t9600 and t9800 for normal use unless i use something that make 100% cpu usage and that's a very rare case for me. besides, even
i do somehow, x9100 ran 3 hours of prime95 test without single error so i don't see much problem there.

I couldn't get rmclock to do anything with mine, do you have to restart every time you change the profile settings?

also shin777, how much do you want for your t9800?

guys short spikes of 84 is fine as long as its not hanging there its also normal for the chip to throttle down the multi when its not needed. dont undervolt it. the chip will be fine trust me

i may have a t9800 i can get for you black if that falls through for you let me check for you
