    Just uninstalled all crapwares.
tried to install new nvidia driver but not working(175.32_notebook_winvista_32bit_international_whql).
Any other programs I need to update or install?

where can I get updated driver for 8800 gts?

wish I can switch Fn button and Ctrl button.

for the drivers look in this subforum for iamtheanimals driver update guide. its a step by step on exactly how you need to go about updating your drivers for the 8800mGTS card.
    EDIT:
screw it i'm bored so i did the searching for you... so you get to be lazy and reap all of the benefits

As to programs to install... what every you want. The sky's the limit. Though things like CPUZ / HWMoniter / GPUZ and the Nvidia tool sets are always useful. And except for a few limitations i'm really enjoying my switch to linux...but its not for everyone.

Unfortunately the "fn" button is stuck. its a hard wired layering button and nothing i've tried or seen tried has ever been able to remap it. So short of some serious firmware flash or actually rewiring the key (i dont recommend by the way) its just a minor annoyance your just going to have to get used to.

Why don't you try 177.79 from the Laptopvideo2Go.com forum? It is a really good driver release.

Awesome deal! For that kinda money, you could drop an x9000 in, another hard drive in RAID 0, upgrade the screen and STILL not be at what the 7811 costs. Not to mention the nice performance gain. :)
