Ok so i just got my 7811 today, and i created my driver disc and removed most of the bloatware. However i can't seem to figure out how to remove 3 items. When i startup my computer the Welcome center comes up, and there is a tab that says software your gateway came with or something like that. I uninstalled most of the software that was there, however there still remain 3 items. Ebay, 40% off discount something for symantec, and some internet company thing. I am completely stumped tho on how to remove these 3 items as they don't appear under the software list in the remove software thing in control panel.

Did you check under Program and features in the control panel...As far as the Welcome center you should see a box to check on it that says something to the effect of don't pop up when windows starts...Hope that helps

The "internet company" thing was the ad for NetZero, right? You have to locate and delete the file folder that it's in: by default I think it was C:\Program Files (x86)\NetZero, but I can't remember for sure. Try that with the Norton stuff, too: Norton is notorious for wanting to leave pieces of itself scattered all over your hard drive. If you are SURE you don't want it just delete all the file folders labeled Symantec or Norton or Live Update, etc. and you should be good to go.

i believe you get a CD with your laptop, just install a fresh copy of Vista with it, might take longer but it's so much easier.
