    Just got the Gateway P 7811, What to do next?

    I just got the Gateway P 7811 and everything seems to be working well except for the internet connection and speed. Ive disabled UAC and such.

    I have the Crysis and Grid Demo, please tell me what programs do I need to test all tempatures and then When I post them back please tell me if they are good and I dont have to return the laptop thanks! Also when should I run these programs :) :) :)

    Before you do any of that, you need to update all of your drivers, most importantly, your video card (9800M GTS?)

    I believe so, Im going to the gateway website right now to download the updates, then I will need to know thanks!

    edit: also going to nvidia website for newest graphics card update

    What I did was...

    Creat recovery disk, and apps/drivers disk.

    Install a fresh copy of vista (7811 comes with the disks). Then just install latest drivers (most of them are from the apps/driver disk). You can get GPU drivers from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
