    Hey all,

I have a very quick question, i have just installed a T9300 into my P6831. 3dmark 06 is now over 8000 from 6880. When i do the WEI the RAM has gone from 4.5 to 5.0, would like to know why the RAM has changed. The cpu changed from 4.7 to 5.4, happy with that.

    Thanks

Because WEI is crap and not a real benchmark.

no, the WEI seems very random, don't base anything off that score

Probably, there is some correlation between both. My WEI jumped
from 4.8 to 5.4 for CPU and 4.5 to 5.1 for RAM after changing CPU.

Whether the WEI benchmark is good or not, I don't know. What's
the other decent one? I guess, they all are the same.

I'm very tempted to go with a T9300 but I haven't found a really great deal yet. Is there a guy on ebay you guys recommend or would you go to retail store instead? Links you currently suggest would be awesome.
My 6860 FX has been stellar so far at 3 lanparty events and in general. I'm currently loving Battle Forge and Left 4 Dead. I just want to wipeout any bottlekneck that still exists.
    thanks,

This guy sold me the X7800 chip for 170$. I did the live cashback deal and got it down to 128$+shipping. He also sells the T9300 for 250$. I'm sure there are cheaper prices but this guy is pretty dependable with 100% positive feedback. It comes from Taiwan and took 5 days to get in. I don't know if the T9300 is an ES chip. You would have to ask QFragger since I think he bought it from the same guy.

Yeah i bought from the same guy as ranmasama, i bought the ES though for $200, took about 10 days for me but i'm in Canada so maybe thats why. The cpu so far is great and playing ETW has improved. 3dmark now 8100 was 6880 with my 5450 cpu.
I would recommend science art seeing as i got the chip he was selling and it works.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I was looking at buying a T9300 on ebay and the CPU is being shipped from either Taiwan or Hong Kong to the US. I was wondering if anyone knew if there would be an import or duty tax charged.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

Sellers from those countries usually mark the item as a gift with a low value so customs does not charge you anything.
I've bought CPUs for 200 dollars on ebay and got them, the customs note is marked as a "Computer component" with gift checked off, claimed value of $20.

    www.ewiz.com

I picked up my T9500 from there for ~$260. The price seems to fluctuate for some reason, so if you see it for $400 or something crazy like that check back in a few hours and order when it drops again
