Well I installed windvd 2010 and the blu-Ray DVD played with sound and everything but when I connected it to my tv I got no sound. But when I would pause the movie or change the settings in windvd for the sound connection either through 2 speakers or through hdmi I would get a sound blurp. So idk what was happening if any one can help please reply.

well i know for powerdvd you have to tell the program where to output audio on op of telling the pc. so i have to actually first set the pc to output from the hdmi this is done from the audio settings im sure you know this already though.
the second thing i have to do is tell powerdvd to use the hdmi also. it should be in the options in your windvd somewhere. if that still doesnt work then its possible you might need decoders for the audio. im not sure which codec your bluray may be outputting so i cant really say what to download.
i personally just dts everything since i dont have a "high def audio" capable audio system and for that i use ac3 filter. this codec i setup to passthrough the audio to my audio card which then decodes anything that is not dts and re encodes it into dts then passes that onto my home theater. this results in a really good sound for my setup with only one drawback being that the computer volume doesnt affect anything i have to manually turn the audio down on the home theater system. This wouldnt be an issue if i still had the home theater systems remote
EDIT: i just re read your post and its starting to sound like your comp is passing through the audio rather then decoding it and playing it back. what this means is that its sending your tv the audio signal in its original form which your tv may not be compatible with thus no sound. try finding an option for passthrough in your decoders and disable it. it has to be one of the things i mentioned or it might even mean the tv is borked since i have one that just will not accept hdmi audio anymore from any device although i doubt that it since you say you hear a blurp sound -
Where did you get your blu-ray drive from? What model is it?

im going to assume your talking to me since his bluray drive model is already stated in his first post.
i have and LG UH10LS20 (comes with powerdvd for free)
i bought it from newegg.com
newegg also sell an internal laptop bluray drive which is an
LG CT21N which might also come with bluray software although i would ask newegg before buying if it does include it. oh almost forgot but this one is an sata interface drive.
Just installed blu-ray need codecs
