Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some help for a friend trying to buy a new laptop. I found this deal for them

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4830691&Sku=G180-15634

but I was wondering if I could do better for a max price of $600? It wont be used for any intensive gaming or anything like that. Its just a school/browsing laptop. To be honest this laptop might even be overkill for her uses but it seemed like a good deal with all the specs it has that I couldnt pass it up so hopefully it will last a couple years. If anyone has any opinons on it or other suggestions I would really appreciate any help. Thanks for reading and help everyone.

    [quick edit]

I also saw this one (she prefered a little cheaper than the gateway)

I was thinking that the gateway is still a better choice for only $70 more but what does everyone else think? Thanks one more time lol

Looks like a good deal. Under 600$ is going to be close. They are very similar. The gateway tells you the wifi card your getting and 1 more gig. 1MB cache on gateway.

Make sure you use Bing cash back and any coupons. Check Notebook and Tech Bargains area out.
Tigerdirect bing gives you 5% back.

T6500 is faster than the T4200 in the cheaper one. Also 4 gigs should be two 2 gig sticks meaning dual channel will be enabled. The 3 gig system is 1 gig and a 2 gig stick so no true dual channel memory.
