All for around 1200 bucks (without tax). I feel good. I can't wait for a new computer. Right now I'm on a Pentium 3 450mhz machine with 128mb of RAM.
Should I have increased the screen resolution? Or do you guys think I'm good?

Most find WXGA a little low for a 15.4", WXGA+ is prefered. However, for that price rest assures that it's a good deal. I wouldn't go through the hassle to change it, myself.

I had to choose between spending money on ultrabright or a higher resolution screen.

I chose ultrabright, with the assumption that when I plug in the laptop to a monitor at home, I'll be able to increase the resolution. Is that assumption correct?

Very nice computer for the price. I would pick ultrabright 1280x800 vs regular 1440x900. Not a big enough difference to make me care IMHO.
