OK I just set up my RAID 0 config and its working great but now when i boot my pc it first runs a mem test then goes to the RAID screen where you press cntrl + i to go to intel matrix thingy. Does anyone know how to avoid all this bs?

for the mem test part i think you enable silent mode youll see the option i believe above the virtualization choice .
As for the intel matrix thingy go into the boot order in your bios and pick your harddrives as boot first and that should eliminate that problem you can also move the things you dont want into the boot order to the bottom youll see the options in the bios and how to do it . -

Agreed. So where did you end up getting your 2nd hdd from? Newegg? CompUplus? Ewiz? or did you find a better deal?

thanks. i figured as much as far as boot order and changed that last night, i still get the two screens mentioned above though and quiet boot is enabled. any other ideas?
i got it from ebay. $80 and it works great. -

Seems to be a problem/feature with the BIOS. I disabled Quiet Boot and saw no difference; re-enabled, no difference again. So it looks like for a while we just have to watch those two screens flash by... small price to pay for RAID, sez I
 .

yeah i'll second that being a small price. will be cool if we can figure it out though.
EDIT: When yours does the mem test how much ram does it say passes, mine only goes to 4095MB instead of 4096 -

Geez mine flies by so fast I haven't noticed. I'll try to pay attention next time I boot & get back to you.

What stripe size are you using and is there any hesitation in operation?
 -

Accepted defaults (128) and no hesitation at all, now that the indexing is done this thing really FLIES; I've noticed turning off UAC helps a lot with response time.

Sorry, that screen flashes by so fast I cannot read it - even with Quiet Boot Disabled.
 -

Mine does that as well. Switching(from RAID) to AHCI, disabling Quiet Boot, then switching back to RAID does nothing. It's just something I've learned to live with, as I really don't reboot that often.

Alright, as long as the all-mighty Dook has to live with it I say I can live with it.

Just setup RAID 0 need help
