Anyone else have this problem with there 6860 or other laptop? I'm just wondering if it get's worse because right now my spacebar is noticeably lower on the right than on the left and the alt key to the right of the spacebar is sort of sunken too. It's been like this since I got the laptop (about July 10).

No my keys are perfectly flush with each other... i think you have a bum keyboard.

I'd look into getting it replaced, unless it doesn't bother you that bad (though with you posting it on a forum it means it does bother you)

So yeah talk to bestbuy/gateway and see about getting a replacement

Mine's fine after 2 months of use. You might want to go back to BB to get it checked out.

You could always pop the media bar off and slide the keyboard off and see if they didnt put it on correctly as another option, youll just have to dig up the service manual which isnt hard to find on the web explaining step by step how to remove it .

It really doesn't bother me too much actually I was just curious if it was a detrimental thing mostly. The keyboard still seems to function fine right now just was hoping it would stay that way.

then no worries, if it still works and doesn't bother you then run with it. But you paid for a product (and the cost of the warranty is included or at least factored into that price) and you never know it might fail at a very inopportune time
