I've got a Gateway 200x, and recently the screen has become very loose; it will fall completely flat if I move a little bit while the notebook is on my lap. How can I go about tightening the hinges that connect the screen to the main body?

I tightened the screws that were hidden under the rubber pads on the LCD, near the hinges, and the screws on the bottom of the notebook near the hinges; neither had any effect. I then tried to take off the bottom panel of the notebook, and there is some star-shaped screw that voids your warrenty if removed, but I need to remove it to get bottom panel off. Any suggestions on removing it?

I also tried taking off the plastic frame around the LCD, which I was unable to pry up, even with all screws removed. Has anyone been able to pry the plastic frame around the screen on these laptops?
