At first I thought it was an issue with the connector/cord, but it isn't.

I don't have another power supply to test, but overall I doubt it is the powersupply failing and then recovering, though I can't rule it out.

I have had to mute the realtek HD audio manager, so now it is silent, but I can't avoid the other downsides, the computer acts differently unplugged (which it thinks it is every few seconds) and it slows battery charging time to about double.

I have tried it on different power points.

It changes pretty frequently, every 20 seconds or so, but sometimes more often.

Has anyone had or heard of such a problem before?

    Any suggestions?

Power jack in the laptop might have gotten loose. If you wiggle the cable in the power jack, does it cause it to "plug" and "unplug"?
