I just started using ventrilo again, and since the laptop mic is garbage, I bought a logitech headset. Whenever i plug it in and set the ventrilo settings to "line in mic", it doesnt recognize it; only the integrated mic. I know it is not just an issue with vent; i recorded myself talking with the windows recorder to no avail. I also know that it is not an issue with the mic itself, as it works just fine on skype on my mom's desktop. Any help will be rewarded and appreciated.

Can you set the inline mic to default device?

Yes, but when i speak into it, it doesnt show the volume going up and down like it does for the integrated mic.

you may need to enable the mic boost etc, I know the internal has it available to adjust. I don't have one plugged in to see if it becomes available to the inline mic.

i had to go through the IDT audio control panel and set the line in to "device: mic."
