    Anybody have a newer driver for "conexant high definition smartaudio 221" for P-7811 FX than I have? My current version is: 4.98.6.61 (date 12.08.2009)

    That is about the newest I've seen as well. Now with the P79 I have a Reatek Audio setup, no longer conexant..................

    4.98.9.60, so one older than his 4.98.9.61. I remember looking a while back, but didn't see a newer one. it has been a while though................

    I found only Version 4.98.4.60 using this link - its older than my v4.98.6.61

    there is no v4.98.9.60.

    I hesitate changing this driver once I get it working. It can be a session to have earphones recognized automatically. My current driver is 4.98.4.60.

    On the other hand, do you have a link to 4.98.6.61? Just in case I am feeling adventurous.

    Can't vouch for it but it looks like there is a 4.119.0.60

    Thanks. Maybe someone will try it and report. Upgrading for upgrade's sake is not always wise, especially with quirky drivers.

    x86 is cpu type not bit count, there are 32 and 64 bit there..............

    Audio_Conexant_4.119.0.60_W7x86 I was able to install new driver only using have a disk method and not .exe, so far no problems works fine.
