Just picked up a Platinum Edition MX6750 from Best Buy and so far I've been pretty happy with it. However, today I decided to try running 3DMark05 and it scored only 483 which seems extremely low for a Radeon X1400 (using the default drivers that came with the laptop).

I checked the Core Clock and Memory Clock in the Catalyst Control Center and it is showing as 128Mhz and 135Mhz - respectively. I don't know what the clock speeds should be but I'm guessing that the speeds reported are not typical?

Nevermind - I forgot about the PowerPlay option in the Catalyst Control Center - once I plugged in directly using the AC Adapter the scores were as expected. :)

Out of curiosity what did you get?

I've found that it helps sometimes to run right after a restart, putting power options to "always on", and closing everything else.
