Man all the notebooks i am looking at have no reviews, i was wondering if someone could talk about their experience with this laptop. I have a few questions.
    1. How hot does it get, coretemp or some other temp gauge if you guys have it?
    2. build quality, would this laptop last more than 3 years?
    3. performance it will be used to play world of warcraft ccs source, can this laptop handle these games?
    Thats about it thanks ^_^

You mean the M-6864FX? Well here we go.

The temperature gauge is approximately 20C in the room im in. It feels like 15C tho.

    1. HD = 28C, GPU = 54C, CPU1 = 46C, CPU2 = 46C just on idle.

    2. Build quality, it feels pretty solid. I say just don't drop and you should be good. The screen is nice and bright and the back light is pretty uniform on mine. The keyboard has a bit of flex when you press down on the keys. The hinges that hold the LCD feel a bit loose...I really would be careful with this area of the laptop, as I think it could easily crack. The webcam and mic work well, I use them occasionally on Skype. The touch volume slider is cool. There's also mute buttons and other quick buttons, but mostly the mute comes in handy for me. The speakers sound a bit tinny, but I'm pretty used to them now.

    3. Ok as for gaming. I play BF2 online in the native res of 1280 x 800 with about medium settings and it runs smooth. This should run WoW and CSS. I have COD4 that I play on 1280 x 800 with low graphical settings. I think I average around 50FPS, it's not 100% smooth, but playable in single player. What I do is over clock my video card and average almost 70FPS which is pretty decent, though the GPU temp can shoot over 100C if I'm in a warm to hot room. I should take it easy on the OCing.

But all in all, for $780CDN, I cannot complain about this laptop. It's one of the best bang for buck laptops out there IMO and I haven't had any issues with it yet. I'm very satisfied with no regrets so far.

I have almost the same specs in my M6850FX. Runs really cold for the 15"
laptop with such parameters. On battery I can work up to 3.5 hours,
searching web, listening music or watching movies, all at the same time.
The rest as Nonamedrand posted, except for the hinges...mine are rock solid.

    Cheers...

I'm getting about 2 hours running on battery while undervolting. It's good enough for me, I'm plugged in most of the time.

As for the hinges, there are 3 of them. Left, bottom and right. The middle hinge is solid. If I hold the right or left hinge between my finger and thumb I can move the hinge. It rocks back and forth ever so slightly, especially the left hinge. If you were to bang a hinge into a door frame while you were carrying your laptop into another room or something...there's a good chance the hinge will crack I'd say.

Other than that, there's not too many negatives about this laptop, especially for the price it goes for, you could DO wayyy worse.

Now I got you, you are talking about the plastic covers that hide
the real steel hinges underneath. If so, don't worry. Also, if you
can't open the lid with one hand, that is OK.

Yes that's it martee. The actually metal hinges that are covered by the plastic pieces hold the LCD up quite firm at different angles.

My plastic hinge covers seem a bit wobbly. I know my friends who bought eMachines years ago had their plastic hinge covers crack.

    Hi,

Yep, it's true. However, did you notice that this cracked covers look
like they are attached to the lid and probably that's why they cracked.
I suppose, in our laptops it won't happen, because they don't move
along with the lid. You know, we'll see.

By the way, you posted in another thread about the very high temps
in you lappy. Did you try to clean it with compressed air? Maybe it's
clogged with dirt and now she's overheating a little bit.

    Cheers...
