Anyone have any idea where I can find a motherboard for this laptop (and if possible one that's upgraded with a better video card). I think the video card might have gone bad. I've had this laptop for a few years now and upgraded the ram to higher quality ram and a t9800 dual core CPU. Everything has been running great all these years (besides some bad Vista driver problems, which I got rid of by upgrading to Windows 7 a while ago).
Anyways I think the soldered on video card has gone bad because I am getting a bunch of vertical lines on an external monitor. My laptops internal monitor won't even be detected by the laptop at all.
At first I was getting that atimdag (something like that) driver error that ATI has yet to fix since it first reared it's head when Vista first came out. I tried everything I could find to fix that bsod error thinking it might fix my vertical lines problem, but nope it did not work. So I thought a freshly formatted drive and clean install of Windows 7 might fix it for me, but of course it doesn't.
So any suggestions out there guys? Thanks.
