Hi everyone,
I have had the Gateway M-6862 notebook going on 2 years now and a while back, seemingly without any specific cause, the GPU (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600) started running hot.
It stays within what people say is a safe range (under 80c for web browsing, just under 90 for skype) but it seems to remain over 70c even when doing nothing on the computer, as if the card is constantly laboring.
I reformatted the notebook for other reasons and the problem remains.
The laptop over the card is very hot to the touch and I'd like to be able to drop these temps a bit.
Any ideas?
Thanks
schazz

well your gonna need to clean out the vents, then re-apply the thermal paste preferably with IC DIAMOND 7 and get yourself a laptop cooler that's if u don't have one already...........
