    M-6862 Windows xp 32bit Drivers now!

    Alright, since the 64bit thread wasn't generating enough hits, I would like to know if someone can direct me to get the drivers for Windows Xp 32 from a clean install.

    Any help is Appreciated

    I'll post it here in case you don't get to the other thread.

    Gateway has a handful of XP (32 I believe but they don't specify) drivers on there driver website-

    http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/mydl.asp?tab=MY&os=Windows XP

    be aware though, they won't let you in without your laptops serial number.

    Also in my experience it takes a long time for the driver to load up and ask you to save it, regardless of your internet connection.

    ^ did you downgrade successfully to windows Xp
    with all the hardware working?

    such as network, etc. etc.?

    No. I'm using the default Vista Home Premium 64bit and don't have an intention to downgrade. They don't offer very many XP drivers though.

    yeah all the drivers is pretty much on gateway website and i think when i checked for you i only saw about 3 drivers for XP on this laptop so your best choice is to go VISTA 64bit, which has the most drivers available

    yea, but I am downgrading so I can softmod the videocard so I can use it for architecture.

    You cannot find them all on gateway's site.
    Thats a pretty comprehensive list from slick deals.

    I have everything running, but its still a little wonky under xp. Im dual booting to vista 64 bit and it runs much better. I need to keep xp for work though, stupid vpn only runs under old xp.
