Last week my screen went completely blank. There is no shadow or dim image, it is completely blank. The computer boots up as normal and I can hear the fan running, but there is no image. I tried hooking up to another monitor, but got no result from that.

At first, I thought the LCD was dead and would have to be replaced, but after going to this site: http://www.daileyint.com/hmdpc/lcd.htm, I think it might be something on the motherboard (incidentally, my answers in the flowchart are no, no and yes). The computer does not seem to respond to any keyboard commands (capslock, volume, etc.).

Can anyone confirm that this sounds right? It was running slow just before the image died.

Any ideas on a next step?

    Thanks for any help.
