For some unknown reason my MT6828 will not recognize any SD cards. It still recognizes Memory Sticks, but not the Secure Digital cards. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. FWIW, I have already tried compressed air in the SD slot as well as using alcohol on the card contacts with no luck. The SD slot is also used for a Memory Stick, which is properly detected. A physical detent is felt when inserting the SD card, but there is no system recognition. Since the SD card is not recognized and therefore does not appear in the device manager, I can not disable or uninstall it. I did try uninstalling the Memory Stick device and then letting Windows reinstall it, as you suggested, but that did not clear the problem with the SD card. Also, FWIW, I have an external Kingston MultiMedia / USB card reader that works fine. It and the Memory Stick all show up under the "disk drives" tab, along with the HD, in device manager .. but no SD card reader. I am not sure exactly when the SD card reader stopped working, so I am hesitant to start going back through the restore points. So ... long story short, it looks like my SD card reading on the MT6828 will be limited to via the external Kingston Multi-Media / USB reader.
