Hey guys... for two years my MT3423 has been flawless... but today, it crashed. I tried turning it powering it off and turning it back on. It works but my laptop will crash soon after. The time it crashes varies. Sometimes it will crash within 45 minutes. Other times I can keep it running for nearly seven hours. Whenever it crashes, I try to turn it back on immediately, only to find a sequence of a blinking CD/Disc light before nothing happens.

I have found that taking out the battery and putting it back in helps.

I don't know what's going on. I have made no changes whatsoever to my laptop.

I've googled the issue, and people are saying that it has to do with a dying or broken motherboard; however, if that was the case, I wouldn't be able to be using this laptop to type this. I don't think my motherboard is the issue.

I'm thinking it has something to do with a dying battery?

Remember, every time I try to boot it, and it's unsuccessful, a CD/Disc light blinks a few times (right below the touch pad.)

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you!
