I have recently had some issues with my BIOS. When it boots, it seems to hang about halfway through and then finish the boot process. This seems to cause double keystrokes whenever I do something outside of an OS.

I received some guidance from Gateway Tech Support by disconnecting the AC power, removing the battery, pressing the power button for 30 seconds to discharge the remaining power in the system, and then plugging the AC adapter back in and rebooting. This seems to fix the problem with the boot hanging up, but only that one instance. The next time I try to boot, it simply hangs up again and continues doing the same thing.

I'm at a total loss. I really can't keep going through the process Gateway gave me EACH time I want to use another OS (trying to dual-boot w/Ubuntu and Vista). If anyone has ANY idea what could possibly be causing this issue, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
