I recently bought a MX 6960. I am pretty happy with it. It had Media Center on it, which was not what I wanted, so I wiped it and installed XP pro. Of course, doing that means Gateway support won't help me with drivers. All drivers were found on their website except the modem sound driver. Does anyone know where I can find this driver?
    Thanks for any help

The drivers are on the restore disk you got with it. You definitely should have one

Not always true some newer computers do not come with restore cd. Best bet would be to try to figure out what particular integrated sound and modem you have then try to find another Gateway laptop with the same and just try those drivers

Most likely they were on the recovery partition you just blew away. I have the MX6960, maybe I can help you out? not sure exactly what I'm looking for though. I'll need a file name. Or I could I supose burn you an image file? Let me know what you want to try. I use Ghost 9.0 so you would need a copy of that to use the image.
