Hi everyone,
I just got a Gateway MX7515 a few days ago from Futushop (Toronto). I got a good price on it i think (I paid $1350 + tax (CAN)).
Here is the issues I'm having:
1) I think there is some light leaking from the botton of the LCD screen. Its really noticeable when your looking at it from a black background. I was wondering if this is a defect or normal on the MX7515 series.
2) I keep hearing that there is a problem with the USB's on the MX7515. I hooked up my PDA to my new laptop and it works OK(but havent checked the tansfer speed). Is there anyway that i could test (maybe with a software) the USB transfer speed and performance?
3)Lastly, i recently upgraded to Windows XP Pro by formating C:.Somehow Windows XP got installed in D: drive (86GB drive) and there is an empty recovery folder in C: drive that i cant delete. Now evertime i start the computer it ask me if i want to load from Windows XP Pro or an undefined OS in C: Drive. Any advice on how i can fix this problem?
Thanks for your help!

download hdtune from hdtune.com. Plug in an external hd/ flash drive and test it, and test an SD or mmc in the small media card and report your results. As for the light leakage if heard of it but my screen is great, may wanna get that fixed. I would think you would have to reformat or something to delete that partition. Let us know whats up Save screenshots of your hdtune and post them so i can look.
