Hi, using DVD Decrypter (version 3.5.4) I noticed that my brand new 7515 was slow on DVD Read Speed while ripping. I can't get this thing to go over 3.7x....and my old Presario2210 (CeleronM,512,40GB) doubles that speed.

I'am connecting a PLEXTOR 716A DVD Burner over an USB2 external enclosure...I don't thing is the USB2 slowering down because even the internal DVD burner has poor read speed.

Any ideas??? WIth this beast I just bought I was expecting quite higher speeds...not the opposite.

But it's not a drive related problem...using the same drive with my other notebook I can get twice the speed my GW does.

One more SCARY fact. I tested my external HDD though USB2 connection with Sandra2005 and it shows a 7,8MB/s performance....my old presario does 29MB/s at the same test.

I am really starting to think that there must be a USB controller problem or something.
