I just bought an MX7515 about a week ago from best buy, and the second I brought it home I noticed a hideous white glow at the bottom of the screen (which gave games a washed out look). I waited it out till yesterday, and finally decided to bring it back, and hopefully get an exchange. So I drove to my nearest best buy (BTW, is 130 miles away) with my MX7515. I chatted with a guy at the Geek Squad and he told me that he's never seen that problem. The display model did not have a white glow like mine did. He gladly did an exchange, but the new laptop also had the same problem. So he gave me 2 choices, a refund, or send it in for repairs. I decided to just get it sent in.

This must be a common problem. Anybody else have this defective LCD, or am I just that unlucky.

Sadly, that was pretty unlucky to try 2 computers and still have the same issue. Maybe something happened when stocking/loading the truck to the shelves. Laptops go all over the place before they hit the self so something could have happened to that particular load.
I feel very bad for you about the 130 mile drive.

Yeah thats unusual. Sometimes, there are bad shipments or just shipments with the same problems. I remember this summer we got some great hp computers in and everyone was buying them, then we sold out, when we got more, we would upen them up to do a functionality check (see if they are working before people drive home 130 miles), and the OS hadnt been fully installed. Saw the same thing on some other desktops about a week ago. Sorry to hear about it, but yeh for the money id have it fixed, wont find a comperable one for that price. BTW nick, when i get the chance ill give you a little rep, i think we see Eye to Eye now. Im more agitated that the thread was closed i was interested to see super pi on some p-m models. When i was looking for a laptop i ran it on the Toshiba we have with a 760 dothan and it did reasonably well. The GFX card was what held me back though. (Intel Decellarator)
