- Great feature set!
- Conservative but nice look (not as gorgeous as a Powerbook, but not fugly...)
- Did I mention specs and price-to-specs like nothing else out there?
- However------>heavy
- However------> battery hungry, lasts 2hrs max at normal work
I willundoubtedly be frequenting this forum! Glad to have found you guys/gals!!! :gateway:

I bought the MX7515 when it first came out in October, I'm REALLY happy with it. Your last two points are right on...
enjoy!! -
Hi, to improve battery life bring screen brightness to the lowest, this 15.4 screen eats a lot of power. When setting one above lowest brightness I can get an extra 30 min.
Check your HDD, it's supposed to be a 4200RPM Fujistsu on specs...but mine brought a Hitachi 5400RPM instead....nice surprise.
Also check your USB2 performance, I have a post regarding low thoughput...maybe yours brings new drivers. -
fyi, this laptop is on sale again for $1199, that's out the door. the rebate is instant again =)
-
It is a great laptop , for business and for games as well .
The only problem that no audio drivers work for Win64 yet .
Enjoy -
Is still on sale? It says it is $1449.99 online.
If not, does anyone know when it will be on sale again? -

Since Gateway now operates on a quarterly schedule, you can probably expect that either the next version in this series will arrive shortly, or that it will be discontinued. (I have no reason to believe the latter is likely, but do mention it as virtually all notebook series do have a finite production life).

It will be interesting to see what Gateway has in mind to replace these notebooks.
Do you think they will put Athlon 64 processors in their new 15.4", or keep the P-M? Or worse case scenario -- they don't replace it? -
MX7515 at $1199 back at BestBuy!!! Amazing!
