    Hi everyone,
First I'd like to say I'm a new laptop owner and new to the community.

I've recently bough my MX7525 and so far have been quite pleased with the systems performance. I've noticed that when the pc is powered by the baterie that the CPU speed drops down to 775mhz. I wish to have all the raw power, even when powered by the baterie. So I've selected the power scheme at "Always On" and have disabled ATI's "PowerPlay".

How and where do I go to display the CPU speed throttling in order to keep it at 2.6ghz at all times (Powered by Cord or Baterie)?

Your assistance and imput on the matter is greatly appreciated,
    SyN

if you just want the power the easiest way is to remove the amd processor driver which controls the multiplier and detects when to do so. Simply go to ctrl panel, add remove programs, and find the amd athlon 64 processor driver and uninstall. Its easy and no big deal

Thanks, seems to have resolved the problem. There will be situations where Baterie power will be at a premium. How do I install the drivers back once, un-installed?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums :)
If you leave it on auto throttle, I doubt you will notice much difference if you are doing basic tasks. Before I had the driver that allows for throttling, I only got about 1hr of battery life, more or less.. now I get about 2.5 hours with the driver. I never thought that a driver could make so much difference  I also leave it on auto throttle when I am on AC just for the sake of heat. It helps a lot. I recommend keeping the driver if heat and battery mean anything to you.
    Either way, enjoy your machine

It seems to work like that. Like one person said above it also helps with heat. I may also help prolong the life of your CPU ... not sure though.

You can turn off the throttling by going to your power options and selecting "always on". It will be turned on if you select "max battery" or "portable/laptop". I don't know about the other power options.
