    Hello,

I have recently have had to clean install Vista on an older Gateway laptop (MX8741) and now I cannot find drivers for my TI Card Reader.

The hardware IDs I am shown are as follows:
    Code:
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239&SUBSYS_0205710B&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239&SUBSYS_0205107B
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239&CC_020700
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239&CC_0207
    and compatible IDs:
    Code:
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_8239
    PCI\VEN_104C&CC_020700
    PCI\VEN_104C&CC_0207
    PCI\VEN_104C
    PCI\CC_020700
    PCI\CC_0207

The usual dev IDs should be either 803b for PCIxx12 series and 8033 for PCIxx21 series of card readers, but sadly that is not the case in this laptop.
I needed some information on whether I can somehow modify the inf and sys files to make my card reader work.

    Thanks

P.S. It seems like pci\ven_104c&dev_8039 does belong to PCIxx12 series also, and I suspect that this is the card that I have in my laptop. Could it be that Vista is somehow improperly detecting the card?
