Downloaded Marathon from this site: Aleph One - Marathon Open Source
Played it and shut down computer for the night. Started up next day with BSOD.
Did restore to recover and all is OK now but what the heck is wrong with that game?![]()

Wow, one of my old mac games for the old motorola cpu with OS6.
LOL, I'll download and see if it kills my FX
BTW, where the heck is Bungie? -
I downloaded all three. Huge improvement from some time ago, I forget (CRS)
I quickly checked M1 and M2 no problem on restart but will post if further problems found.
Like Doomsday the OpenGL rooms look great but still a lot of funny bitmaped sprites with different player mechanics than the Doom titles.
+ for your link, thx..good luck. -
Glad you got it working. There is a comment that they rewrote the engine code. Faster play and better graphics.

OK, got a BSod.
It was in-game while I was messing with the F keys. So needs a bit more work..but certainly not the first game i had that would cause a BSOD.
Hopefully GOG will pick it up to work out final kinks but I will continue to play as is. Great game! -
Battlefield Play for Free also makes random BSODs on nVidia systems.
Marathon Game causes BSOD-P7805u
