I just used the Official Gateway OS Restore Disc which came with my P-6831FX. I decided to rebuild my system, but using only one drive instead of a RAID 0 because previously, my RAID failed and I lost everything. After installing Vista Home Premium, I keep getting the Mass Storage Controller alert to install drivers. I downloaded the official driver for that direct from Gateway, and installed. After performing Windows Update, I keep getting BSoD (Blue Screen of Death). So I switched the Hard Drive Mode (in the BIOS) to Compatibility instead of AHCI, which "solved" the BSoD, but is this the correct setting in the BIOS for my controller? I need the best performance from this machine because I'll be playing Diablo III :p ... and the specs are just at recommended (slightly lower cuz of the GPU). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The mass storage controler is more than likely the card reader not the HDD............
