I scoured the web for a long time looking for a decent Aluminum hard case that could fit my P-6831FX, One that wouldn't break my bank but not be made outta skinned cardboard either.
    And here it is..

    The Mezzi XXT
    https://www.mezzi.com/product.php?id=1&prodid=66

Comes in my choice of black or the shiny natural Aluminum.

As proof I'm not working for them, I'll tell ya that I got it off ebay for 1/2 the offical MSRP...

And to prove I'm not working for ebay I'll tell ya...
Well I can't think of anything except that the one seller dealing in these is in Canada and I'm not eah...LOL

I've had it alittle over a week and am very happy so far.
It's fairly well built, It's no halliburton but then again Hal don't make this size and if they did it'd be well over $400... Narf!

Not sure about any carry-on problems not planning to fly for at least 2 months so... It's big but then again so is my FX...

Finish and apperence are very good even had I paid MSRP I'd be happy.
    very professional looking.
It's durable but no I'm not gonna run it over with a truck or dunk it in water so don't ask...

I'll check back from time to time and answer any more specific questions if they arise.

But For my uncompensated 2ยข...A great buy for a FX sized hard case.

P.s. Was also looking At the Dicota AluCompact,
    http://www.dicota.com/start.php?office=62&page=page_productDetails&ds=344#
But never could get a straight answer re: actual interior measurments...
Oh and it would'e been $70. just to ship it Stateside...

not that I'd ask you to test it but if you gave your most honest opinion would the FX survive a desk-high drop? Always been a fear of mine when I put my backpack on my desk at work here or even at home; not paying attention, other things on my mind, etc., and hearing the dreaded C-R-A-S-H to the floor.

Hasn't happened yet as I'm still very new to it (about 2 months now) but some day it just may happen.

Anyway, your opinion, survive a crash or not?
