    Monitor Problem for 7809

    Hey guys, I was hoping someone would have a solution for this here.
    For a while now I've had the laptop hooked up to an external monitor.

    For the first time in about a month I unhooked the monitor so I could be a bit more portable with the laptop and everything is gray! I reinstalled the video drivers and it worked. But everytime I make the switch from external monitor to internal LCD it's gray.

    Whats' going on here?

    Okay so I uninstalled my drivers to try and install new ones.
    And now the 9800 isn't being recognized. I can't install the drivers.
    Instead I am now stuck with "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"

    Please help
