Hi all, it's been a while since i last visited here. I own a P-6860 for about a year now. Today the mother board temp just went over 70, shown as TZ something in hwmonitor. usually it rarely reaches 60. is it because of the weather? i sent in my laptop last time because the mother board was fried and now i'm kinda scared.

70C isnt really a danger zone. Its a bit high, but nothing dangerous. I would look into a good cleaning. it seems like you have some dust impeding your air flow

invest in a can of compressed air.... use a cooler..... lower the ambient temperature in the room you use your laptop.....drill holes in the removable HD bezel to help with heat dissipation for your HD........ all together should noticably drop your temp a few degrees
