just opened the MT3708 i purchased from C.C

question about the wireless card in the computer

from what i have figured out you acccess the wireless by pressing

    FN and then F2 ..

but if i happen to turn the wirless OFF once the comptuer has started .. it wont pick up a signal again until the computer is restarted ...

    any help ????????????
basically for the wirelss function to work it has to be started at start up .. it cant be toggled on and off ..

am i doing something wrong.. this is something that i have never run onto before

have u tried just to run the built.in "repair connection"? sometimes it would work by just clearing out (flush) dns value from previous sessions

    cheers ...

That appears to be a problem with the mt3707 as well. Sorry, I have no answers. I usually just suspend the computer and then bring it back. I don't turn the wireless off as casually as I did with my previous laptop.

tonight i was messing around with it some more ..

and if the wireless is turned on at STARTUP it works FINE ...
if you turn it off during a session .. IT WILL NOT PICK UP THE SIGNAL AGAIN ....

so you have to go to DEVICE MANAGE .. DISABLE the WIRELESS and then ENABLE IT .. and then it will work again ...
