With my Gateway p7805u, I'm having an issue with Windows 7 RC, Build 7100. Using the latest 186.03 drivers from Nvidia, I'm unable to disable the laptop screen and use JUST my HDMI connected LCD TV. It worked fine under Vista. Of course I realize this may be a bug with the RC, but I searched and found lots of info about other OS's and people trying to do different things.

I just want to turn off my laptop monitor so I can close the lid and use the d*mn tv as my only monitor. If I can't, oh well.

Have you installed your Vista drivers that came with your Gateway? This sounds like you'll need Gateway notebook software to do what you want.

This should work. Using (Vista) 185.85 on my 7811FX with no issue.

    cheers ...

Yea, worked with a clean install of Vista Ultimate 64 bit prior to trying out Windows 7. And that was just with the 186.03 drivers, naught else.
