This is my first gateway purchase. I've had it for 5 days now & I'm pleased.
    It is the MX6428. AMD Turion 37 - 2.0, 1 gig mem, 80 hd, ati 200m radeon & 64 shared video memory.

I'm confused about the video memory. Reading the info on ati site the memory should be 128. Can you update the memory to 128 in the bios?

Any info on this would be extremely helpful...

the X200 in that model is "integrated" but does have some of its own memory. 64 on board 64 shared

Are you sure it has 64MB integrated?

I've had my MX6424 for a while and haven't been able to find a way to increase the graphics memory. I think it's just 64MB shared and you are stuck with it.

I ran 3DMark05 and got a score of 457. If it had integrated memory I think the score would have been over 600.

I hope I'm wrong, but it looks like Gateway cheaped out on the version of the X200 that it put in it's MX64xx series.

Mind you, I still like the computer.

x200 always has some of its own memory, thats why its one of the best integrated. I'v seen x200s with 128 dedicated and 128 shared in desktops
