I'm going to buy the MX7525. Should I get the 3yr extended warranty. Its $349. Or is this just another warranty rip-off? I got it from FutureShop a store much like Best Buy. Same extended warrnty benefits.

It has its pro's and con's. I think before, when they did replace the battery free of charge multiple times, it was absolutely worth it.

    Now?

I find it questionable. If you feel you need that insurance policy in place - if you're going to need need NEED that computer for three years - then it may be worth it for the peace of mind.

I've admittedly gotten use out of mine and I think with a line that has known build issues, minor though they may be, it may be worth getting the warranty. But $349 seems steep.

If you have the money, I would recommend it. It is always nice to have some reassurance.
I do agree with everything Pulp said though. You could live without it.

350 is canadian lol. Futureshop is owned by Best Buy. Its Canada dollars so its not bad at all. I say go for it because if nothing else happens you at least get a battery replacement, and hardware coverage. Like Pulp said, sometimes weird little problems occationally arise with this series... even tho i do still highly recommend the notebook.
