Picked up the on sale 6831 at Best Buy Monday. After playing WoW for 30 mins I get a Blue Screen of death that says something like there has been a critical hardware error.

I reboot and try again and the system freezes after playing for about 10 mins.

I have not done any mods or over clocking to the system.

Good news though.. I called best buy and they said they would swap out my comp no questions asked.

Anyone else have their 6831 crash?

One last thing... the screen seems to be washed out from the bottom, what are the best settings for this lap top to make the screen look the best?

Mine is ok. Used it for a couple of days now. The absolute worst thing that happened to me was some artifacts in WoW which went away after I restarted the game. Only happened once. I've ran command and conquer 3, crysis on high, oblivion, and they did not have problems. Oh, and I didn't o/c my comp.

No problems with mine; OC and all. This screen has a small amount of light bleed, far far far better than the Samsung display on my First dell. I found the screen way to bright at stock settings so I run about 3/4 throttle. There are other threads concerning color and other settings if you search.

My P6831 has the Samsung LTN170X2-L02 panel.

As for light bleed, my old DELL xps gen 2 had some pretty noticable light bleed when I took it out of the box. I just kept using it for a while and it slowly went away.
